Payment options:

Payment may be made by personal check or money order. Please use the inquire link on any page to make payment arrangements. Your purchase will be held for 7 days. Immediate purchases can be made via the Paypal "buy now" link. Credit cards are accepted via Paypal and do not require a Paypal account. International purchases are welcome via Paypal only.

Shipping:

Shipping is free for small packages (6"x9" or under) in the U.S. & Canada. Shipping to all other locations is $3.50 for letter size envelopes under 3.5 oz. Items are mailed within 1 to 2 business (m-f) days from payment. You will be notified of any delays or charges on larger packages. Past Pictures is not responsible for loss or damage caused by the Post Office. Insurance costs on domestic delivery for puchases under $75. are the buyer's responsibility and optional via inquiry. Purchases of $75 and over will be insured by Past Pictures. International buyers should inquire on insurance fees, if desired. Customs forms are not necessary on letter size items.

Grading:

Grading and scans are intended to give the buyer as much prior knowledge as possible toward an items condition and appearance. However, scans are optimized in low resolution for faster load time and may appear unsharp. Print imperfections will be evident in the scan by looking in the zoom view. Significant damage will be noted in the description. Tonal quality of prints may differ from monitor appearance due to variances in calibration. Aesthetic satisfaction is guaranteed.

Mint = perfect, like new.
Very good +++ = near mint, very little sign of wear, damage or aging.
Very Good + = minor sign of wear, damage or aging which isn't very visible.
Very Good = visible signs of wear, damage or aging which don't detract very much.
Good = multible signs of wear, damage (tears, creasing, soiling, etc) or aging which often accompany vintage photographs.
Fair = usually a very good image which has, unfortunately, come under heavy wear, damage or has faded significantly.
Poor = a rare example of an extremely damaged or aged photo which still retains redeemable and appreciable qualities for historical, documentary and/or aesthetic considerations...

Returns and holds:

Past Pictures takes extra care in rating, describing and scanning photos, postcards and ephemera. Please ask any questions via the inquire link prior to purchase. Returns may be accepted with prior approval. Return shipping will be the buyers responsibility.
Please note that purchases requests are honored on a first come first serve basis. Items will be marked sold or removed from the site asap. You will be notified if an item has sold prior to your inquiry. I will hold your photo for 7 days once arrangements have been made. Past Pictures reserves the right to return an item to availability if the above conditions aren't met.


Further consideration:

Past Pictures is always buying photographs and on the lookout for collections. I'm particularly interested in photo albums. I am also available to sell photographs and collections on consignment. Please inquire for terms.
